Youth Theater Program

Dear friends of Luna,

We are starting a Youth Theatre Program at Luna.

Luna Playhouse is committed to our youth, and want to engage them and have them be involved in the creation of a new Youth Theatre Program. As the director of this program I would like to bring this new project to everybody's attention and hope that I'll find enthusiasts to help us spread the word and foster youth participation in local theatre. Our goal is to assist the new generation in applying the knowledge of their generation and expressing their artistic abilities through process and production participation.

The program will offer eight weeks of workshops in acting, movement, voice, stage combat, script development and other related aspects of theatre. At the end of eight weeks the participants will be able to present a complete stage production. This will be a production presented for the youth by the youth. This unique program will allow a group of 14-18 year old actors, not only to hone their skills and receive a certificate of completion, but also will have a final product to add to their resumes.
